Open Eye Gallery Open Eye Gallery is one of the UK’s leading photography spaces. They present an international programme of contemporary photography exhibitions at their Liverpool waterfront gallery and in the city region.

The gallery produces long-term collaborative projects, publications, festivals, and university courses—locally and worldwide. They also host photography workshops, poetry readings and book presentations.

Open Eye Gallery takes a lead on socially engaged photography nationally. Bringing different voices, photographers and communities together, they establish projects where the collaborative process is just as important as the final product. They deliver an ongoing socially engaged programme of residencies and collaborative projects between practitioners and the local community.

The gallery has an independent bookshop with a carefully curated collection of books by established and up-and-coming local photographers, experimental editions by independent publishers and classic photography theory books, Foam and Aesthetica magazines and small edition zines.
