Keep Liverpool Biennial free, for you and everyone
A Biennial is a festival that takes place every two years. There are over two hundred contemporary art Biennials in the world, and we are extremely proud to host the UK’s oldest and largest one, here, in Liverpool. Since 1998, we have exhibited over 590 artists, commissioned over 410 artworks, and received over 50 million visits. Outside of the festival, we also deliver a programme of public commissions and community-embedded projects year-round.
Our goal is to be a ‘Biennial for Everyone’. We aim to serve artists and audiences by providing a programme of groundbreaking, intriguing, and free art that remains rooted in Merseyside, with an international outlook.
Now, more than ever due to rising costs, we need your help to raise funds to ensure we remain free and open to all.
- Donating £25 will contribute to resources used in schools, libraries and other community settings that instil confidence and support self-expression through art
- Donating £40 will contribute to workshops that connect international artists with the experiences and identities of people living in Liverpool
- Donating £100 will help us to inspire people with art every day, with exhibitions in unexpected locations like warehouses, shopping centres, beaches and bus routes
Can we count on you?
Every donation we receive, no matter how big or small, will help Liverpool Biennial to support the artists and communities we work with, to commission ground-breaking public artworks, to enable learning opportunities and to ensure we remain a Biennial for Everyone. Donate now via the link below.
